BRIDGES (FIXED PARTIAL DENTURE)

Dental bridge are used to replace the missing toothwith an artificial tooth connected between two crowns (caps). They are fixed (cemented) with adjacent natural tooth (abutment) Bridges are permanent; patients need not to remove them. Bridges are used to replace a single or few missing teeth if the neighbouring teeth are sufficiently strong. Modern bridges are made of Zirconia, Porcelain fused Metal and Metal.

Crown

Crowns, also known as caps, restore the grossly damaged teeth and mimics the shape, size and colour of the surrounding teeth. Crowns are indicated for the permanent protection for cracked teeth and teeth with deep cavities; to protect teeth that have been filled by root-canal treatment; to provide extra support for bridges; and to cover poorly shaped or discoloured teeth. Crowns may be made of metal, porcelain, or newer restorative materials like metal free ceramics, Zirconia (Premium). They are custom-made and prepared by milling with high accuracy in size and natural look. Crowns typically last five to eight years, however Premium crowns comes with the warranty of 5 years to lifetime warranty.
